Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage all marketing activities for the shopping centre and within the marketing department, including on-ground, digital or online, out-of-home and print marketing campaigns.
  • Develop marketing strategies for the shopping centre, in-line with the company’s objectives of driving footfall, casual leasing and tenant sales.
  • Plan and manage the shopping centre's marketing budget.
  • Manage internal communications, corporate and employer branding for the company.
  • Strategise value-driven customer relationship management.
  • Direct and improve tenant relations, supporting and collaborating with retailers to activate effective marketing campaigns to boost footfall and sales, measuring results.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
  • Collaborate with the public relations team to develop and implement effective perception management and strategic communications programmes to maximise publicity and positive media coverage across all available media.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing plans and projects, measuring returns on investment.
  • Manage and analyse strategic partnerships and co-branding opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to determine market requirements for existing and future activities.
  • Lead and coach marketing department subordinates, monitoring and reporting performances as well as identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Write, edit and proofread promotional materials, articles, press/media releases.
  • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for office operating procedures.
  • Work together with stakeholders which include the media, customers, agencies and consultants, vendors and suppliers, designers, copywriters, printers, photographers, illustrators and web developers.

  Skill Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing or related field(s) with a minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in public relations, marketing or shopping mall management.
  • Experience in retail, marketing communications, events management, media relations, graphic design, digital marketing, strategic planning will be advantageous
  • Good command of the English and Bahasa Malaysia languages (spoken and written) knowledge of other languages (e.g. Mandarin) would be a plus
  • Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Good strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • IT-savvy, skillful with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
