Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for the maintenance of shopping center in technical areas and general housekeeping by supervising, inspecting, troubleshooting, installing, repairing and running tests for mechanical & electrical, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, mechanical transportation (lift, escalator & travelator), fire-fighting system, plumbing & sanitation, civil & building works, hygiene & cleaning, landscaping, pest control, and inventory control to keep the building in a good condition and ensure that the Shopping Centre perform at an optimum level.

  • Ensure full compliance with the instructions, standard operating procedures, policies, and documentations of the Maintenance Division during execution of daily works.

  • Execute periodic preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks on critical areas and equipment within stipulated time to minimize interruption or downtime of the systems or business operations.

  • Supervise the appointed service contractors and conduct periodic inspection of the goods and services rendered to determine whether it complied with the contract provision and delivered on a timely basis with the highest quality.

  • Responsible as the first contact point and responder for any technical and housekeeping queries, complaints and requests from the tenants, customers, and other stakeholders.

  • Provide update to immediate superior about the progress of routine work and identified root cause for downtime due to system faults, breakdown, accident, or incident in accurate and timely manner for reporting purposes.

  • Perform inspection of tenant renovation work and report to the superior if there is any unsafe practices and non-conformance to the specifications given to enforce the standards, rules, and regulations.

  • Maintain documents and records needed in inventory management to properly account and reconcile the movement of equipment, tools, and spare parts.

  • Provide support as emergency responder during emergencies in the shopping center according to procedures as required.

  • Other duties related to the job function that may assigned by the immediate and reporting superior.

  Skill Requirements
  • Minimum certificate in electrical, building maintenance or related fields.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in building or facilities maintenance or relevant industry.
  • Able to understand and communicate with others in simple English language.
  • Able to work in shift, weekends, and public holidays (as assigned in duty roster).
  • PC literate especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Prefer trade competencies and background essential (as services list above).
  • Prefer candidate with shopping centre experience.
