Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in aspects of M&E System maintenance and operation. He is to assist the M&E Manager in overseeing the maintenance of the M&E systems and conduct basis system maintenance and investigation of system faults. His scope also covers electrical, aircons, ventilation, transportation and pumps 
  • Ensure that the staff and all contractors carry out safe work practices during maintenance, adhoc or renovation works
  • Ensure that any staff initiatives on Incident and Injury Free/or Sustainability and others are brought to the attention of the management
  • Able to train staff on fundamental trouble shooting and handling of all M&E systems
  • Schedule the duty roaster of the Engineering Department
  • Able to perform simple inventory keeping
  • Able to facilitate Centre activities such as annual shutdown, testing etc.
  • Able to chair the daily staff briefing and monthly contractor meeting in the absences of M&E Manager
  • Carry out inspection on tenants’ renovation and report any unsafe practices and/or any incompliance to the M&E Manager  
  • Attend to and feedback/complaints from the occupant (i.e. air-con problems, leakages etc.)
  • Assist the M&E Manager in ensuring that all system maintenance are carried out as per schedule and that all system are in good condition
  • Able to performance basis maintenance and trouble shoot M&E systems.
  • Prepare simple reports of systems faults and/or trouble shoot finding for improvement works or insurance purposes
  • Assist other departments in Centre’s events
  • Familiar with the code of practices of M&E trades and authorities requirements
  • Assist the M&E Manager in all building submission i.e. domestic water test, structural inspection, PE endorsement on signage etc. 
  • Other duties that may assign by the M&E Manager, Operations Manager/GMr - Centre Management Office of I-City Mall

  Skill Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years experience in shopping mall management or relevant industry experience
  • PC literate especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Financial Management skills including budgeting and forecasting will be an advantage
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a small team
  • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills including relationship building
