Primary Responsibilities
  • The position is to ensure that the asset operating in accordance to CPN Policies and Procedures and in compliance to all statutory requirements in the field of Security, Environmental Health and Safety (including Fire Safety) and Sustainability. The position is also tasked to ensure the implementation of the EHSMS system and to promote the Security, Safety and Sustainability awareness of the asset including health and safety of shoppers, tenants and staffs while embracing the key principals of Incident and Injury Free (IIF).
  • Prepare and review emergency plan for any accidental cases e.g. flood, terrorism
  • Inspect all safety and security equipment/signage e.g CCTV, firefighting equipment
  • Annual fire evacuation drill
  • Handle criminal cases in the Centre with awareness of the Centre’s image.
  • Main liaison person between Management and outsourced Security Contractor. 
  • Be able to handle security and safety emergencies. 
  • Monitor and advise management on security and safety threat levels including crisis management practices and procedures. 
  • Review performance of security contractors, daily operations and security systems. 
  • Develop and maintain security and safety strategies, policies, guidelines, procedures and systems. 
  • Able to conduct investigative work, document security processes and procedures. 
  • Able to conduct induction briefings and carry out guidelines as per the OSHA guidelines. 
  • Manage, maintain and upkeep the Shopping Centre and facilities to meet statutory regulations, health, environmental and safety standards within optimal resources usage and budget. 
  • Keep up to date with legislation and demonstrate an awareness of approaching changes and major case law. Pre-empt legislative issues which may affect the property under management and ensure that team members share the knowledge. 
  • Contract Management of Security Service providers.
  • To assist in the preparation and analysis of Monthly Report

  • Other duties that may assign by the Operations Manager or General Manager – Shopping Centre. 

  Skill Requirements
  • Close liaison with relevant authorities including the Police, Bomba and DBKL. 
  • Strong leadership skills and able to train, lead and supervise a large contingent of security personnel. 
  • Preferably a former Senior Officer in the Navy, Police Force. 
  • Well-versed with security, safety and fire-fighting systems and procedures in high-rise buildings. 
  • Possess good interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Must be able to converse fluently in English and Bahasa Melayu. 
  • Must be computer literate (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and is able to write reports. 
  • PC literate especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint). 
  • Possess good analytical, organizational and interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
